Meet the Author
This visit is the personal story of my books from inspiration to publication. It includes a quick introduction to my books, my path to publication (unlike many authors I was not a writer growing up), how I write and what has happened since the books came out. There is an accompanying PowerPoint presentation if space is available as well as a generous question and answer session so that guests can ask everything they've ever wanted to know about the 'secrets' of the publishing world.

In-Depth Book Discussion
In this book-club style format, we delve into the details of how the novels came to be. We can discuss the inspiration for the books, how I researched, revisions, cover stories and the responsibilities involved in writing 'issue' books. This is a casual presentation, where all participants are encouraged to ask any questions about the book or writing in general. All participants should read the novel before scheduling this visit in order to get the most out of the presentation and the accompanying visuals.
Time: 1 Hour

9 Point Plot Process
Are you an outliner or a seat-of-your-pants writer? Somewhere in between? Perfect for writing classes as well as experienced writers looking for a new way to plot, I will demonstrate the 9 Point Plot process I use to get me from Chapter 1 to The End. Using such classic books as The Cat in the Hat, the group will explore each of the 9 steps that make up a good plot without the pain of writing a full outline and then use the technique on a story of their own. Participants should come to the workshop with a solid story idea, and will come away with a roadmap so they can start writing their masterpiece.
Time: 1 - 2 Hours

Skype Chat/Local Book Club Visit
For book clubs and classes who are reading the novels, I offer a quick Skype chat to answer any questions and divulge some writing secrets. For local book clubs, I may be able to arrange a casual visit, depending on prior commitments.
